We conduct experimental trials into Mesothelioma and Lung Cancer.

We will be starting several new trials in 2009

Chemo-Immunotherapy of mesothelioma
There are 2 of these trials, one involving the use of antiCD40 in combination with chemotherapy.

The other is a study how chemotherapy affects the humnan anti-cancer response.

Our recent clinical trials are:

Immunotherapy of mesothelioma and lung cancer.
This trial involves the use on autologous tumour, obtained following surgical resection,
administered as a vaccine subcutaneously 2-weekly with recombinant GM-CSF given on
days 1-3 for a six month period. This was entirely and outpatient procedure but all patients needed
to be resident in Perth for their 2-weekly visits over a period of 4-6 months and must have had
operable disease on clinical grounds.
